What sells you? Like Goldilocks said to the three bears, “this is just right”

I have written in the past...what sustains you?  What fills you?  What inspires you?  Even what motivates you?  Today I ask:  What sells you?  What feature has you at "Hello"?  Is it a pretty face?  A great sense of humor?  The silence in a sunset?  A sleeping child?  Are you an adrenaline junkie?  A chocolate lover?  Or does a glass of wine call your name?  

Now…don’t answer with the righteous thing to say.  I want to hear what sells you or what you will be sold for, not to please another but to honor thyself.  What do you choose when no one is looking?  Can you disappoint another to warrant your needs and desires?  What is it?  I’m sure there are many...write them down.

Ask yourself this: how often are you playing in that sandbox?  Too much?  Not often enough?  Or just right?

Hmmm…Maybe Goldilocks had something after all?

Backed up?

It seemed to be the theme this month for me...no pun intended.  So I thought I would explore its life lesson a bit.  When things get backed up...what causes for it?  Are you the type who says “let’s move on, I have places to go and things to do” or do you wish to solve the problem and even perhaps find that maybe whatever has backed you up is happening because you’re not supposed to do those things or see those places?   

Traffic is a great example...it gets backed up daily.  Do you reroute...have road rage but keep trying expecting a different outcome if you persevere or do you pleasantly and patiently wait till it passes and accept that there is a reason for everything?  Dishes: do they pile up...get rinsed immediately...blame others for the mess?  The "To do list"?  Does it get crossed off every day in spite of it all because you committed to do so?  Or does some of it get carried over day to day...for some...do you even have one?  Your health: How often do we take care of our needs and maintain our health with balance and finesse?  How many tend to wait until it’s a problem before we seek attention to the matter or better yet, at all...how many believe "That’s not gonna happen to me...I'm fine."  Constipation is an example of that! ,)   So how would you fix that?  Do you quickly run for the laxative?  An old fashion enema?  Add more fiber?  Or do you take a look at what got ya there...before the back up?  Call me crazy but it all starts somewhere.  We take a short cut.  Or we ignore the signs that are prevalent; trying to teach us to slow down...be patient...find balance.  Too much of anything will cause a “back up!”.  And when it does, it becomes a problem… an unavoidable problem.  Ya hear all the time... it’s not the destination it’s the journey.  Where are you going?  What gets in your way?  And how do you deal with it?  We all deal with things differently and for different reasons.

How is your digestion?  Been in any traffic jams lately?  Are the dishes stacked up?  Have you done everything on your "To do list"???  Next time you’re backed up, what will you do?
